This CD is a demonstration of DSEL (Demonstration SalesEngine Launcher). The DSEL engine is a standalone Java Virtual Machine running from a CD or Compact Disk. The JVM supports standalone Java application and a 4 tier web application. The four tiers are HTML front end, a Java business logic, a database backend and web based email.

This particular CD demonstrate the talents and programming skills of the Cebu Animators Society for Talent. CAST is a group of talented people interested in 3D animation.

How it Works

The CD is a standalone, no install Java^TM application. In a Windows^TM environment the program is auto start from the CD.

• For the WindowsT OS, the CD is started when you insert the CD into the drive (This is called autoRun). Or double click the file "startDemo.bat" to start manually in the root directory of the CD if you have auto start disabled.

• For the Linux or Mac OS please mount the CD using the "mount" command and then click the "startDemo.sh" to start the CAST Demo.

• The CD is about 450 megabytes. If you need faster performance please copy the whole CD to a new directory and start manually as described above. The CD is made to be directory and drive independent.

• The first item to appear is a splash screen about the CAST and who we are.

• The next thing is that some musical background music starts to play.

• At the end of about 45 seconds (depends on the speed of your CD Rom drive),  the splash screen disappears and the main application opens.

• The opening display is a spinning 3D logo for CAST. The background music continues to play. It is a juke box with about 8 songs and recycles in about 14 minutes. You can continue the demo by clicking on the "Start Demo" button.

• Click the the "Maximize" button to bring the display to full screen. This spinning logo and the music makes a great start up or intermission to your product demonstration at any trade show or product forum.

• Pentium 4 processor 1 gigahertz or faster
• 128 megabyte RAM
• CD Rom drive 40x or faster
• Color display 640 X 480, 16 million colors
• Either Windows 98 or higher
• Or Linux OS
